Job Summary

Literacy Intervention Teacher for a high school at KIPP Public Schools Northern California. Responsibilities include developing and implementing daily and long-term lesson plans aligned with the school’s academic vision, analyzing student data to inform instruction and support growth, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom using Restorative Practices and Social Emotional Learning, employing culturally responsive management, proactively communicating with families and colleagues, engaging in weekly professional development and communities of practice, and maintaining accurate records of attendance, grades, and behavior. Requires strong content knowledge, dedication to equity and anti-racism, proficiency with Google Suite and educational technologies (e.g., Zoom, Nearpod), and the ability to build meaningful relationships with students and families. This is a full-time, exempt position on a traditional school-year calendar, located at school sites.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution (required)
  • Hold a valid teaching credential in the subject of your desired role, or
  • Be eligible for a General Education Limited Assignment Permit, Provisional Internship Permit, or Short Term Staff Permit (CPR certification by American Heart Association or American Red Cross is a prerequisite for this permit)
