Job Summary
Model best practices and provide one-on-one coaching to support teachers in effective literacy instruction. Deliver high-quality literacy instruction to students using research-based strategies in flexible small group settings. Analyze student data to inform decision-making and implement targeted interventions for struggling readers. Lead the building-level literacy team, facilitate professional development, and collaborate with administrators and families to foster a culture of literacy. Maintain Title 1 federal documentation and integrate high-quality instructional materials to strengthen instruction.
Required Qualifications
- Virginia teacher license with a reading specialist endorsement
- Master's Degree
- Leadership and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, parents, and staff
