Literacy Coach

Lead individual coaching cycles for up to 10 ELA and reading teachers, including planning conversations, classroom observations using the Danielson Framework, and reflective feedback. Model lessons and instructional routines, then gradually release responsibility to teachers. Plan alongside educators to prepare Wit and Wisdom lessons and foundational skills instruction grounded in the Science of Reading. Observe instruction objectively to provide timely, specific feedback focused on high-leverage moves while supporting teachers in setting their own instructional goals. Use assessment data to identify priorities and help educators adjust instruction for scholars needing support. Facilitate embedded professional learning, small group sessions, and collaborative planning while partnering with campus Instructional Leadership Teams to align with districtwide goals. Contribute to a positive, collaborative professional culture across Friendship's network of public charter schools.
