Job Summary
Literacy Associate to support CMAA’s Adult Education programming by growing and coordinating the Volunteer Literacy program through recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing support of volunteers; coordinating learner recruitment and matching with tutors; administering assessments; maintaining volunteer/learner data; assisting with quarterly/annual grant reporting; and collaborating with program teams to enhance integration and community partnerships. The role emphasizes data collection/analysis, cross-cultural communication, client-centered service, and administrative filing, with occasional evenings/weekends. Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (required)
- 1 year of experience teaching adults with limited English proficiency
- Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders to efficiently meet deadlines and deliverables
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member, demonstrating cultural sensitivity to constituents
- Experience managing multiple projects and a demonstrated ability to adhere to deadlines, particularly in regards to analyzing data
- Proficiency with Google platforms, Microsoft Office, especially Excel/Google Sheets
