Job Summary

Transport railroad crews to various locations using a passenger mini-van, ensuring safe and dependable service vital to railway operations. Maintain a clean driving record with no moving violations in the last three years, drug or alcohol convictions in the past four years, or auto theft in the last seven years. Perform vehicle inspections, navigate high-traffic areas, and communicate via phone or radio while meeting time-deadlines. Submit required shift and trip information electronically and pass a negative drug and alcohol test. This on-call position allows you to create your own schedule, with pay starting at $16.00 per hour and benefits including paid time off after one year.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record
  • Minimum age of 21
  • Current valid state issued driver's license
  • State required license certifications
  • Less than two moving violations within the last three years
  • No careless, reckless or failure to control violation in the last five years
  • No driving under the influence convictions in the previous seven years
  • No record of drug or alcohol-related convictions within the previous four years
  • No auto theft conviction in the last seven years
  • No disqualifying sex offender registry factors
  • Background check clearance
  • No felony conviction within the last seven years
  • No release from penal institution within the last five years
  • No crimes of concern
  • Ability to use electronic devices and programs to communicate, onboard, train and submit required shift and trip information
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs
  • Ability to bend, stop and stretch to complete vehicle inspection
  • Ability to safely enter and exit company vehicle
  • Ability to safely fit behind the wheel and properly wear seatbelt
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act's Section 391.41
  • Ability to hear, read and respond to instructions and directions over the phone, navigation system and/or radio in English
  • Submit to and receive a negative drug and/or alcohol test
