LIS Analyst II- Lab- FT- 1st Shift

Job Summary
Manage the Laboratory Information System by performing database updates, conducting system upgrade testing and validation, and supporting interface implementation. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues while ensuring CAP compliance and handling shared after-hours on-call support. Collaborate with Information Technology and cross-functional teams to execute project management tasks and maintain system integrity. Requires 5+ years of clinical laboratory IT experience, a relevant degree or ASCP certification, and strong analytical skills. Full-time, 1st shift position at Huntsville Hospital, a Best Regional Hospital recognized by U.S. News & World Report.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical laboratory
- IT experience
- Excellent communication skills including both oral and written skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and customer service skills
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with teams across organizational lines, including administrative and executive staff
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects to meet deadlines as required
- Strong technical and computer skills
- Adaptability to rapidly changing technologies
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Self motivated
- Ability to complete projects with little supervision
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly
- Knowledge of current standards, legislation, practices, delivery systems, documentation methods and trends in medicine
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
- Certification as a Medical Technologist from a nationally recognized credentialing agency, i.e., ASCP, HEW, or AMT
