Job Summary
Liquor Sales associate provides extraordinary guest service and assists customers with product selections, maintains product displays and pricing, may operate a cash register, and supports store operations. The role requires strong product knowledge, ability to lift heavy items, adherence to company mission and OSHA/Safety standards, ability to stock and rotate inventory, and the capability to handle high-volume, fast-paced retail duties with a focus on customer satisfaction. Must maintain age-related legal compliance (21+), and hold or obtain required alcohol and food safety certifications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 21+ age requirement per state law
- Retail sales experience preferred
- Valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit (must obtain if not already possessed)
- Food Handlers Permit (where applicable)
- Strong product knowledge
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50-100 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to operate cash register and basic POS systems
- Bilingual skills a plus
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Follow safety regulations (OSHA)
- Maintain uniforms and professional appearance
- Able to work various shifts, including Fridays and Saturdays
- Strong numerical and math skills for discounts and measurements
