Linux Systems Engineer (Kubernetes & AWS)

Job Summary
Maintain 24x7 Linux infrastructure availability by managing, patching, and deploying both physical and virtual servers across AWS, VMware ESX, and internal environments. Provide L1, L2, and L3 support for server issues while developing Python and Bash scripts to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency. Proactively monitor systems to troubleshoot performance issues, optimize capacity, and participate in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning drills. Offer on-call support as needed alongside scheduled weekend coverage. This role requires 5+ years of Linux administration experience with Kubernetes, Ansible, and RedHat expertise in complex environments.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ Years of Experience as a Linux Administrator in complex environments
- Expertise with Linux (RedHat) in both physical and virtual environments
- Hands-on Experience with Kubernetes, VMware Tanzu, and AWS infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of server hardware (HPE or similar) and architecture
- Proficiency in developing scripts (Python, Bash, etc.) to automate tasks
- Experience working with AWS and managing virtual machines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with server clustering and Veritas cluster technologies
- Windows OS knowledge
