Job Summary
Manage and scale the AWS-hosted Linux server environment to ensure high availability and performance for research and engineering groups. Architect and maintain custom Python-based automation solutions, internal dashboards, and self-hosted services while optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions. Provide high-tier support for internal users by resolving complex environment and connectivity challenges, and proactively handle system hardening, backups, and security audits. Requires 5+ years of Linux experience, AWS proficiency, and strong scripting skills in Bash and Python.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ Years of provable hands-on Linux system administration experience
- Certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or Linux+
- Experience working with AWS
- Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python for automation and tooling
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and security best practices
- Experience with CI/CD processes (e.g., Jenkins, Github workflow)
- Knowledge with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with AWS FSX managed storage
- Experience in a machine learning or data science environment
- Experience utilizing or deploying AI-based tooling for system administration and automation
- Familiar with HPC job schedulers (SLURM, LFS)
