Job Summary
Linux System Administrator responsible for Linux/Unix administration across RHEL 6/7/8/9, CentOS, Ubuntu, OEL, and IBM AIX; manage storage and filesystems (LVM, XFS, EXT3/EXT4, JFS); package management (YUM, DNF, RPM, APT); shell scripting (Bash / Korn Shell); perform performance and diagnostics using tools like top, vmstat, iostat, sar, ps, netstat, ss, lsof; maintain core networking (TCP/IP, DNS, NTP); deliver strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and log analysis; operate in 24x7 enterprise environments with incident, problem, and change management. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, 4–7 years of Unix/Linux administration, 3+ years in L2 production support, and experience supporting 500+ servers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 4–7 years of hands-on Unix/Linux administration experience
- Minimum 3+ years in an L2 Production Support role
- Experience supporting enterprise environments with 500+ servers
- Experience in 24x7 enterprise support environments
- Experience in incident, problem, and change management
