Job Summary
Build, maintain, and secure Information Technology systems while directly supporting customer mission-critical capabilities in a classified environment. Collaborate with program developers and system engineers to research issues, determine root causes, and implement solutions for system problems. Support occasional after-hour maintenance, on-call rotations, and hardware installations requiring up to 35 pounds of lifting. Occasional travel may be required for installation support. This onsite role involves administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux, VMware, and classified information system capabilities to solve complex digital infrastructure problems.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with CI polygraph security clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification
- Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux based systems
- Installing, administering, and troubleshooting recent versions of VMware (ESXi and vCenter)
- Ability to effectively interact with external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and vendors
- Ability to effectively interact with external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and other areas of RTX
- Must be able to support occasional after-hour maintenance and on-call support
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds in support of hardware installations
- Must be available for onsite role
Desired Qualifications
- Deployment and administration of systems in Amazon Web Services (AWS)/Commercial Cloud Services (C2S)
- Using and developing with automation tools/frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef
- Scripting - particularly in Bash and Python
- Experience administering Windows based systems
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with efficiency
