Job Summary
Linux System Administrator position at MANTECH in Fort Meade, MD. Responsibilities include creating and managing virtual environments, Linux system administration on Redhat/Rocky 8, configuring and maintaining storage and file systems, scripting with Bash, and delivering briefings and program documentation to senior management. Must have 5+ years of systems administration experience, strong Linux command-line proficiency, ability to provision VMware/vSphere (ESXi, vCenter), and experience with security tooling (NESSUS, McAfee Agents) and patch management. Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly is required. Preferred tasks include PKI certificate installation, Bash scripting for database dumps/loads, and using SALT for config deployment. The role requires collaboration with a team and sustaining existing production environments, with on-site work at Fort Meade, MD.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in systems administration of hardware and software in support of maintenance, developing and testing of information technology systems
- Strong Linux administrative experience (command-line)
- Ability to launch, provision, and configure VMWare/vSphere instances (e.g., ESXi, vCenter)
- Server STE/STN Compliancy (ex., NESSUS, MacAfee Agents) and performing server management relating to security tools such as patch management (applying O/S updates, IAVAs, and configuration changes)
- Able to perform system administration on Linux Redhat 8/Rocky 8 (Command Line)
- Demonstrated experience working with a team to introduce and integrate new technologies into existing production environments
