Job Summary
Operate power-driven equipment including mowers and weed eaters while performing general landscaping tasks such as mowing and trimming to maintain grounds in a neat and professional manner. Safely complete work involving possible daily exposure to chemicals and fertilizers with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, including frequent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Repetitive lifting and moving heavy objects (50+ lbs.) are required while working outdoors in all seasons with varied weather conditions. Other tasks as directed by the Superintendent. This primarily outdoor role is performed independently under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent at the Links at Manhattan Golf Club.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Knowledge of the general operation and servicing methods of gasoline, diesel, and electric powered equipment
- Ability to operate tools, machinery, and equipment
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (50+ lbs.)
- Ability to safely ascend and descend ladders and stairs while carrying equipment
- Ability to operate power-driven equipment including mowers and weed eaters
- Ability to perform general landscaping tasks including mowing and trimming
- Ability to maintain grounds in a neat and professional manner
- Ability to work outdoors in all seasons with varied weather conditions
- Ability to safely complete work involving possible daily exposure to chemicals and fertilizers with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
