Job Summary
Linguist opportunity for Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) focusing on UI technical/marketing/product description localization. Responsibilities include adapting UX and technical content, transforming marketing campaigns for local markets, localizing product and ecommerce copy with regional naming logic, and upholding brand integrity with rigorous quality standards. Collaboration with production and quality leads to meet client specifications. Requires native proficiency, graduate-level qualification in translation/linguistics/language studies (or equivalent experience), and professional translation/localization experience in the financial domain. Independent contractor, flexible hours, no fixed benefits, and potential regional/geographic considerations. Remote work available with contracted project-based workload and minimum daily/weekly availability expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Native-level proficiency in the target language(s)
- A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR
- A graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR
- 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.
