Job Summary
Translate content between English and your native language while preserving cultural nuance and clarity. Edit and refine language content for accuracy, tone, and contextual relevance across digital platforms. Apply current language standards, usage trends, and best practices to all deliverables. Evaluate and provide structured feedback to improve language model quality. Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to localize content for your language-speaking markets. Support content development, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications. If transcreation is required, creatively adapt text to ensure it reads naturally in the target language. Work as an independent contractor with flexible scheduling, no fixed hours, and no micromanagement. Most tasks require a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week. Required Qualifications
- Native-level proficiency in the target language(s)
- A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies
- A graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience
- 5 years of full-time professional translation experience
- The ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely
- Reliable availability and commitment
- Work availability fluctuates with project demand, making this better suited as a supplemental income stream
- Most tasks require a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week
- Geographic restrictions may apply
- As a 1099 contractor, you are solely responsible for your own tax obligations
