Job Summary
Translate and transcreate English-to-Finnish content for medical devices, audiology, and healthcare digital marketing, ensuring clinical accuracy and brand voice alignment. Edit language for tone and relevance across digital platforms while applying EU MDR terminology standards. Provide structured feedback to improve language model quality and collaborate with production teams to localize content for the Finnish market. Deliver creative adaptations for B2C campaigns that read naturally and persuasively. Work as a remote 1099 contractor with flexible scheduling, dedicating minimum 5 hours weekly to support high-priority localization campaigns for global hearing-health brands.
Required Qualifications
- Native or fluent in Finnish (reading and writing)
- University Degree in Linguistics / Translation, or a medical/scientific certification
- Demonstrable experience in translation, localization, and transcreation
- Experience relevant to audiology (hearing aids, audiometry, EU MDR terminology) and/or medical-adjacent B2C marketing
- Can dedicate a minimum of 5 hours to translation tasks per week
- Native-level proficiency in Finnish
- A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies
- A graduate qualification in another field (such as life sciences, biomedical engineering, or marketing) plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience
- 5 years of full-time professional translation experience
- The ability to follow terminology glossaries, brand voice parameters, and reference materials precisely in our online platform
