Job Summary

Apprentice Lineworker responsible for operation, maintenance, construction and repair of transmission and distribution systems. Duties include constructing and maintaining overhead and underground lines, inspecting lines and substation equipment, performing rubber glove work on energized lines from an aerial device, coordinating training, participating in emergency restoration and call-out duty, leading briefings, supervising subordinates in the absence of a supervisor, and ensuring safety and efficiency in project execution. Must contribute to maintaining a safe, reliable system for members and the public, update mapping systems, assist with damage claims, and adhere to company policies and service standards while progressing through Apprenticeship levels 1 through 4. Minimum qualifications include High School Diploma or equivalent, completion of DOL Journeyworker requirements, and a valid Texas Class A CDL; ability to travel and work extended hours as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in lineworker apprenticeship (Apprentice 1-4)
  • Ability to participate in call-out duty
