Job Summary
Lineman C/Lineman progression role focused on installation, maintenance, operation, and inspection of electrical transmission and distribution facilities with exposure to energized conductors up to 600 volts under supervision, and progression toward higher classifications. Responsibilities include assembling, installing, maintaining, removing and inspecting underground facilities, conductors, fixtures and structures on energized or grounded equipment; operating volt-amp meters, ground megger, and other test equipment; applying insulating protective equipment; performing switching and tagging procedures; building equipment mountings and overhead transformer installations; and directing the work of assistants. Residency requirement places candidate within 30 miles of the Longview Operations Center. Requires High School Diploma or GED and valid Class A CDL, plus related lineman experience or formal line-school training with internship; physical ability assessment required. Compensation includes hourly rates for Lineman C/B/A and a compensation range, with a focus on safe, reliable energy delivery and commitment to equal employment opportunity.

- Minimum of one year distribution electrical power line work experience, OR one year of related line experience defined as: successful completion of a one year electrical power line school certificate plus a minimum of 16 weeks internship or distribution electrical power line experience, or an Associate degree from an electrical power line school which includes a minimum of 16 weeks internship or distribution electrical power line experience.
