Job Summary
Linehaul driver responsible for safely and efficiently transporting product from the warehouse to customer locations by operating a tractor-trailer, following customer invoices and company standards. The role involves long-haul travel with 2 to 3 days out at a minimum, loading/unloading per customer specifications, completing DOT logs and safety paperwork, maintaining proper temperature and food-safety protocols, communicating route or loading deviations to management, and performing pre/post-trip checks and routine equipment maintenance. Strong emphasis on customer service, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to handle overnight schedules and varying conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED/equivalent
- 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience preferred
- Completion of tractor-trailer driving school accepted
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Insurable to operate vehicle
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Hazmat guidelines (as applicable)
- Safe lifting and delivery practices
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English related to job and safety regulations
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to plan and organize work independently
- Ability to drive tractor-trailer day and night
