Job Summary
Drive a tractor-trailer to deliver product from warehouse to customer locations on assigned routes, including long-haul trips to states like PA, FL, and OH. Safely transport and unload/load products according to customer specifications, complete all required paperwork (logs, inspections, maintenance reports, bill of ladings) accurately and on time, maintain proper temperatures for food products, and adhere to safety protocols. Build strong customer relationships through clear communication, coordinate with management to address routing or loading issues, and work assigned schedules including overnight, weekends, and overtime as needed. Operate 3-axle tractors with 45’–48’ trailers, use onboard computer, read/write English, perform basic math, and comply with company and governmental guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED/equivalent
- 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience (preferred) or completion of tractor-trailer driving school
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Must be insurable to operate a vehicle
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; basic math; safe lifting and delivery practices
