Job Summary
Transport product from the warehouse to customer locations using a tractor-trailer, ensuring on-time delivery per route and company standards. Safely loads/unloads per customer specs, completes DOT logs, inspections, and related paperwork, maintains proper temperatures for food safety, communicates route or loading deviations to management, operates equipment including pallets and hand carts, and builds good customer relationships while adhering to safety and schedule requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED/equivalent
- 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience preferred
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Must be insurable to operate a vehicle
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Hazmat guidelines
- Safe lifting and delivery practices
- read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to safety regulations
- basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- ability to plan and organize work activities independently
