Job Summary
Drive a tractor-trailer from the warehouse to various destination points in PA, FL, and OH, ensuring timely delivery according to customer invoices and company standards. Safely load and unload product, maintain proper food safety temperatures, and complete all required paperwork including DOT logs, vehicle maintenance reports, and accurate case counts. Operate assigned equipment such as pallets, load bars, and hand carts while communicating route deviations or customer issues to management. Work assigned schedules including weekends, holidays, and overtime to meet customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree
- 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Completion of a tractor-trailer driving school
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Must be insurable to operate a vehicle
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Knowledge of Hazmat guidelines
- Knowledge of Safe lifting and delivery practices
- Skill in driving over long distances
- Skill in driving over a variety of terrains
- Skill in driving in varying weather conditions
- Skill in communicating with customers
- Skill in solving problems
- Skill in delivering the product
- Ability to drive a tractor-trailer unit both in the day and at night
- Ability to drive in a variety of traffic conditions
