Job Summary

Drive a tractor-trailer from the warehouse to customer locations in PA, FL, OH, and other states, ensuring timely delivery and accurate case counts against invoices. Safely load and unload product per specifications while maintaining food safety protocols and proper vehicle temperatures. Complete all DOT logs, maintenance reports, and pre/post-trip inspections accurately. Operate assigned equipment including pallets, load bars, and hand carts, and communicate route or product deviations to management. Work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet customer demands.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Must be insurable to operate a vehicle
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to drive a tractor-trailer unit both in the day and at night in a variety of traffic and weather conditions and remain alert and aware of surroundings
  • Ability to meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the Company
  • Ability to operate a 3 axle tractor, 45' - 48' trailer, straight truck, onboard computer keypad and a 2 wheel hand cart
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations
  • Ability to perform basic math functions (e.g. add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Ability to climb in and out of a tractor and trailer
  • Ability to lift, push, or move product that weighs up to up to 50 pounds by hand
  • Ability to push/pull up to 350 pounds of product with a 2-wheeled hand cart down a ramp and into the customer's storage areas
  • Ability to work an overnight schedule, including weekends, holidays, overtime, on-call and starting at various times
  • Ability to work outside the usual work schedule as needed to meet customer needs
  • Ability to exhibit regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to follow any other instructions and to perform any other job-related duties requested by his or her supervisor
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
  • Knowledge of Hazmat guidelines
  • Knowledge of Safe lifting and delivery practices
  • Skill in driving over long distances, over a variety of terrains and in varying weather conditions

Desired Qualifications
