Job Summary
Drive a tractor-trailer from the warehouse to various destination points in PA, FL, OH, and other states, ensuring timely delivery according to customer invoices and company standards. Safely load and unload product, maintain accurate paperwork including DOT logs and vehicle reports, and adhere to food safety protocols for proper temperature control. Operate assigned equipment such as pallets, load bars, and hand carts while communicating route deviations or issues to management. Work assigned schedules including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet customer demands.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Must be insurable to operate a vehicle
- Currently authorized to work in the United States
- High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree
- 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Completion of a tractor-trailer driving school
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Knowledge of Hazmat guidelines
- Knowledge of Safe lifting and delivery practices
- Skill in driving over long distances
- Skill in driving over a variety of terrains
- Skill in driving in varying weather conditions
- Skill in communicating with customers
- Skill in solving problems
- Skill in delivering the product
- Ability to drive a tractor-trailer unit both in the day and at night
- Ability to drive in a variety of traffic and weather conditions
- Ability to remain alert and aware of surroundings
- Ability to meet or exceed minimum productivity levels
- Ability to operate a 3 axle tractor
- Ability to operate a 45' - 48' trailer
- Ability to operate a straight truck
- Ability to operate an onboard computer
