Job Summary
Plan, direct, and coordinate the movement of regional and national LTL shipments by developing geographical-specific plans to ensure service standards are achieved economically. Direct the use of Purchased Transportation and Intermodal, coordinate LCV lanes, and reduce partial and empty dispatches by managing freight flow and resources. Requires effective communication skills, experience with PC and database applications, and strong analytical abilities. Full-time Monday through Friday with various shifts available. R+L Carriers offers a competitive salary range of $78,000 to $85,000, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with matching, and paid vacation.
Required Qualifications
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Experience using PC, Database, and Mainframe applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge or Windows, Outlook and other Microsoft products
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a freight dispatcher or similar role in a fast pace environment
- Experience in freight truck routing
- Experience in LTL freight or similar industry
