Job Summary
Designer to lead the design of small to medium-sized linear water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the Greater Toronto Area, working out of Ontario offices (Ottawa, Whitby, North York, Toronto, or Hamilton). Responsibilities include providing design services for water and wastewater projects (open-cut, trenchless, rehabilitation), producing engineering drawings and reports, supporting project managers, delivering Environmental Assessment Reports and Detailed Design to client requirements, providing construction-phase support, and mentoring junior team members. Requires a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology with CET/OACETT eligibility, 5+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; assets include construction-support and contract administration experience. The role emphasizes client-focused, ethical, innovative collaboration within an inclusive team, and aligns with TYLin’s hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology
- CET with OACETT, or eligible to register
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in water and wastewater design of linear infrastructure within existing rights-of-way
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Engineering support during construction and Contract administration experience is considered an asset
