Job Summary
Manage and lead condition assessment evaluations for water, wastewater, and storm system assets using various technologies. Lead preparation of feasibility studies, alternative analyses, and basis of design reports for linear water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. Develop small to large design projects from inception to completion, creating construction documents and specifications for water distribution, wastewater collection, and pump/lift stations. Coordinate project execution with other disciplines, prepare complete construction packages, and create cost estimates to ensure delivery within budget and schedule. Mentor junior engineers and design staff while working directly with clients to determine needs and lead winning proposals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field of study
- 8-15 years of related linear (water pipeline) design experience
- Project experience including design, permitting, and construction of water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, storm water systems, water storage tanks, and pump/lift stations
- Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Experience managing preparation of and reviewing and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
- Functional experience with MS Office applications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Active participation in regional or national professional associations
