Job Summary
Line Winder Assembly Technician needed to perform complex assembly operations on electro-mechanical line winders with strict tolerance requirements. Responsibilities include assembling and inspecting parts using blueprints and both manual and power tools; testing and troubleshooting during first piece, in-process, and final inspections; performing customer repairs; managing data entry to update job orders; creating production orders, material issuance, and daily scheduling; processing inbound shipments and supplier orders; packaging and shipping assemblies (including international shipments); inventory maintenance; providing telephone customer support, diagnosing repair issues, and training other associates; maintaining required documentation and reporting labor; and adhering to safety and quality procedures. The role requires attention to detail, ability to read drawings, tool proficiency, effective communication, and a focus on quality and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency with manual and power tools
- Ability to use measurement instruments and testing tools
- Strong attention to detail and precision in assembly
- Good communication skills for customer support and training
- Basic data entry and material management skills
- Understanding of safety and quality procedures
- Experience performing assembly and inspections (first piece, in-process, final)
