Job Summary
Clear rights of way and trim trees while learning to operate chainsaws, woodchippers, bucket trucks, and other vegetation management equipment safely under supervision. Maintain organized workspaces, complete paperwork, and assist with construction and service functions as assigned. Use two-way radios and mobile devices to coordinate with internal and external personnel. Work in diverse environmental conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow, utilizing aerial lifts, ladders, and climbing poles as trained. Perform physical tasks involving lifting, bending, and working in various postures while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- willingness and ability to work in a wide variety of environmental conditions, including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, snow/ice, etc.
- willingness and ability to work in a constant state of alertness and focus
- ability to lift light and medium loads frequently and assist with heavy loads occasionally
- ability to use stairs and ladders
- ability to work in a wide variety of positions and postures including but not limited to overhead, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and twisting
- ability to work aloft, including but not limited to aerial lifts, ladders, and climbing trees or poles
- ability to operate two-way radio equipment, mobile devices, and other technology
