Job Summary
Line Servicer performs installation, rearrangement, maintenance, operation, removal and inspection of electrical transmission and distribution facilities; provides first response to trouble calls, investigates and clears faults; coordinates complex circuit switching and restoration; works with hot line equipment on energized circuits; interfaces with emergency services; communicates with customers; installs and maintains meters and switches; leads assigned helpers; requires high school diploma or GED, 2 years as Lineman A or equivalent, and a valid Class A CDL; travel and relocation within 30 miles of Canton, OH; heavy physical work and overtime required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience as Line Mechanic A, Lineman A or equivalent
- Qualified through demonstration/examination/performance appraisal as determined by the Company
- Valid Class A CDL
- Willing to relocate within 30 miles of Canton South Service Center (2100 Shepler Church Ave Canton, Ohio 44706)
- Physical abilities assessment
- Overtime and on-call may be required
- Travel may be required
