Job Summary
Perform line inspections and analyses on finished and intermediate products, including packing and labeling tasks. Establish sampling plans and apply accept/rejects levels to inspection results while documenting all findings. Calibrate line equipment to ensure accuracy and communicate results to management. Follow safety, sanitation, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Good laboratory Practices throughout the shift. Read and apply inspection instructions, forms, and specifications daily. This entry-level position requires continuous standing, walking, and lifting for 10-12 hours per day in a temperature-controlled environment ranging from 35 to 100 degrees F. Certification in Food Safety is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Quality, Environmental and Safety standards
- Able to operate machines or equipment at a basic level
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Basic arithmetic skills (multiplication, division, add, subtract, understand decimal/fractions, and percent)
- Ability to read, interprets documents, writes legibly and clearly communicates to management
- Able to work in a team based environment
- Able to take direction from more than one supervisor
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in Food Safety preferred
