Job Summary
Line Operator responsible for operating, maintaining, and improving extrusion equipment on a production line. Duties include process monitoring, minor maintenance, troubleshooting, quality inspection of extruded products, loading materials, changing over extrusion machines, documenting operating conditions, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Requires 12-hour shifts including weekends, shift differential for night work, and a HS diploma or GED. Reports to Production Supervisor or Lead Operator and collaborates with QA, shipping, and production staff to meet quality specifications and production goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient reading, writing, and basic math
- Ability to use and interpret precision instruments, tools, machinery and equipment
- Must be able to work safely in a production environment
- Physical capability to perform job duties including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Excellent organizational skills and time management
- ISO 9001 Procedural compliance
- Team collaboration with QA, shipping, and production supervisor
