Job Summary
Operate various equipment to meet daily key performance indicators for Safety, Quality, and Production Rate while following written work instructions for chemical solution batching and process adjustments. Monitor equipment, conduct minor repairs, and perform quality checks per QA work instructions during finished goods packaging, shipping/receiving, and raw material storage. Troubleshoot equipment, process, and quality issues to assist maintenance and engineering staff, maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly workplace. Provide relief for other areas of production while complying with all Federal, State, Local, and Company rules on Health, Safety, and Environmental issues. Work a 12-hour, continuous rotating shift schedule (4 days on, 4 days off) at Alkegen, a specialty materials leader focused on battery technologies and sustainable insulation solutions.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a High school Diploma or equivalent
- an Associate degree or other post high school training
- 2-4 years of proven batching experience in a manufacturing experience
- Prior chemical operator experience is preferred
- Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Willingness to learn and access information through computer databases
- Experience reading and interpreting simple gauges
- Follow work instructions and provide feedback for improvements
- MUST be willing to work a 12-hour, continuous shift schedule (4 days on, 4 days off from 7-7 rotating days/nights)
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand for up to 12 hours at a time

- Prior chemical operator experience is preferred
