Job Summary
As a Line Mechanic in one of our Alaskan processing facilities, you will maintain, repair, and install Iron Butcher processing machinery and various fish processing equipment including conveyors and pumps. Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, welding, and building hydraulic and pneumatic systems. The role necessitates strong mechanical knowledge, experience with processing equipment, and a commitment to safety regulations. Collaboration with team members to maintain production efficiency and compliance with safety protocols is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems
- Experience with processing equipment
- Mechanical knowledge
- Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining processing equipment
- Ability to perform welding and fabrication tasks
- Adherence to safety regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Seafood or Manufacturing
- Driven machinery certifications (e.g., forklift, expeditor truck, flatbed truck)
