Job Summary
Under direct supervision, to do all types of work involved in the construction, rearrangement, operation and maintenance of either transmission or distribution circuits. Under general supervision, in rural areas and occasionally or periodically in urban areas, to locate and correct trouble on energized distribution circuits and overhead series street lighting circuits or perform similar work on de-energized transmission circuits. Job responsibilities include traveling to various Company locations and remote job sites, complying with safety rules, and performing duties in varying weather and work environments, including elevated heights and confined spaces.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three and a half years’ experience as a lineman
- Must be a qualified Journeyman
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must possess a CDL A (Commercial Driver's License) and a DOT Medical Card
- Must have a valid drivers license with a safe driving history
- Must be able to travel to various Company locations and remote job sites
- Ability and willingness to work around hazardous/heavy equipment and energized electrical equipment
- Ability and willingness to wear and use safety equipment as required by Company safety rules and federal, state and local regulations
- Must live within 35 miles of posting location
