Job Summary
Prepare, cook, and portion hot and cold food items for residents, patients, participants, and the employee cafeteria while adhering to sanitary regulations and recipes. Review daily menus, production sheets, and leftover items with the Cook Team Leader or Executive Chef to organize work around specific time deadlines. Serve approximately 150-200 elders, manage special function meals for administration and residents, and strictly control waste through portioning and accurate tracking of food quantities. Report equipment malfunctions immediately and execute daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules. This full-time role at St. Ann's Community requires weekend availability, with hours from 7am to 3:30pm Sunday through Thursday.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum A.A.S. degree in Food Service with one year previous experience
- Equivalent to A.A.S. degree in Food Service with one year previous experience
- Familiarity with a variety of cooking methods and procedures
- Ability to sequence and schedule demands and determining timing for use in equipment
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel crouch for most or all of shift
- Must be able to lift or move up to 40 pounds
- Must have weekend availability
