Job Summary
Line Cook at The Residence at Melrose Station responsible for delivering a high level of customer service within a restaurant-style dining atmosphere. Works with Culinary Services Director/Executive Director to supervise culinary staff, assist with dining enhancement programs, and ensure food is prepared and served according to established recipes and menus. Maintains sanitary kitchen and storage areas, opens/closes the kitchen, adheres to cleaning schedules, records food temperatures, prepares snacks/beverages for residents, assists with events and banquets, and supports transportation/storage of food and supplies. Requires Serve Safe Certification, ability to read/execute recipes, 1-3 years in health care or hospitality, and a HS diploma or GED preferred. Salary: $24.00-$28.00 per hour; full-time benefits offered; in Melrose, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Serve Safe Certification
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a cook in a hospitality or healthcare environment
- Education: high school diploma or GED preferred
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ability to build positive relationships, provide excellent customer service, read/follow recipes and production guides, operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment, ability to read and follow recipes and production guides, cleaning schedules and logs
