Job Summary

Line Cook needed to heat up the kitchen in a fast-paced commissary environment. Responsibilities include cleaning and preparing meats and vegetables, stewarding and expediting product out the door, maintaining clear communication with the executive chef and city manager at all times, keeping the station and work areas clean, and taking ownership of tasks. Will work side by side with an experienced executive chef; opportunity for growth within a fast-growing startup. Ideal candidate has prior kitchen experience (line cook, prep, or dishwasher), catering/event servicing experience, strong communication, and working knowledge of diverse cooking methods and equipment. Must be proficient with Google applications (Gmail, Drive) and Microsoft Office. Perks include compensation starting at $20/hour, company-sponsored health insurance (HDHP), 80 hours PTO per year, optional 401(k) after six months, free lunch, and weekday schedule (Mon-Fri, 7am-3pm). Eligibility requires ServSafe Food Handler certification. Workplace is in a commercial kitchen in Austin, TX.
