Job Summary
Upscale casual restaurant seeks experienced line cooks to prepare food to exact chef specifications and set up stations. Responsibilities include setting up and stocking stations, preparing ingredients and sauces, cooking menu items with the kitchen staff, following executive/sous-chef instructions, cleaning stations, stocking inventory, and ensuring dishes are high-quality and timely. Must comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and maintain a professional demeanor with coworkers and customers. The role offers tip income on top of base pay, with AM/PM shifts and weekend availability required. Locations include Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ; on-site duties at the restaurant with emphasis on high-volume, scratch cooking and adherence to Health and Safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Looking for EXPERIENCED LINE COOKS for Pantry or Saute or Grill
- Understands compliance with Health and Safety Standards
- Enjoys the challenge of high volume and scratch kitchens!
- Flexible Schedules - AM or PM shifts available
- Weekend availabilities are required!
