Job Summary
Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes, including measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling ingredients. Set up workstations with necessary equipment and safely utilize knives, ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers to arrange, garnish, and portion dishes. Adhere strictly to food safety policies, sanitation procedures, and established portioning guidelines while maintaining high standards for cleanliness. Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the kitchen team during every service.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- 4+ years of Line Cook experience preferred
- Be a multitask master in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to recreate recipes per The Sicilian Butcher standards
- Knowledgeable about food safety standards and restaurant cleanliness
- Willing to go the extra mile to create the ultimate guest experience
- Knowledgeable about the menu and the varying products we carry
- Must have a current food handlers card or be able to obtain one
- Must have experience, a positive attitude, be punctual, and be a team player
- High school diploma
- A higher degree in hospitality or a relevant field
- Must be able to see, hear and speak (verbally and audibly)
- Required to ascend and descend stairs
- Sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Bend, stoop and kneel
- May be required to work outside in various weather conditions
- Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced working environment
- Must be able to report to work responsive, free from sedatives, and in a non-sedative state
- Must disclose prescribed and/or over-the-counter pharmaceuticals that may impair or affect the ability to perform the job's essential functions
- Must be able to drive or travel by car, air, or other transportation for business purposes
Desired Qualifications
- 4+ years of Line Cook experience preferred
- A higher degree in hospitality or a relevant field will be a plus
