Job Summary
Prepare, wash, peel, and cut various foods for cooking or service while following standard recipes and time limits. Ensure guest orders are properly portioned and ready to serve, and notify supervisors immediately if supplies are low or equipment malfunctions. Carry equipment, food supplies, and utensils between work and storage areas, maintaining cleanliness of all equipment, utensils, and work surfaces. Store foods correctly to prevent spoilage and adhere to all sanitation guidelines while ensuring safe use of kitchen equipment. Become familiar with new menu items and perform duties in other kitchen areas as assigned. Requires 1+ year of high-volume restaurant experience, age 18 or older, and ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Pay is $17.87/hr plus tips and a free meal.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of work experience in a high-volume restaurant
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 20 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
- Some bending/kneeling/stooping required
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to use hand and wrists continuously for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in a hot environment
