Job Summary
Prepare food as directed by the Chef or General Manager, cooking to order in a timely manner while ensuring menu plate consistency through proper portioning, garnishing, and recipe compliance. Receive and check food and supplies into the kitchen, inspecting conditions against invoices and orders, then store products at proper temperatures. Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas and complete opening and closing checklists. Comply with written standardized recipes for quality and portion control, protect club assets, and operate within established policies. Maintain a Food Handlers certificate and assist with other duties as needed. Full-time, hourly, nonexempt; shift assignments vary.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as cook
- Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bake ware
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Very good communication skills
- Excellent physical condition and stamina
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. frequently
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to kneel
- Must be able to crouch
- Must be able to climb
- Must be able to reach
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to lift

- Must maintain Food Handlers or Managers Certificate
- Must be able to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical skills
- Must be able to monitor and develop subordinates
- Must be able to visually monitor the operation areas
- Must be able to write
- Must be able to read
- Must be able to perform any on the job related duties as requested
Desired Qualifications
