Job Summary
Line Cook in a mission-driven senior living community preparing and serving food, maintaining attractive presentation, following all guidelines for food handling and storage, ensuring sanitation, promoting a culture of safety, maintaining inventory, and collaborating with a diverse team to support the well-being of residents. The role requires 2+ years cooking experience (preferred), formal culinary training (preferred), SERV SAFE certification (preferred), and ability to follow recipes and communicate professionally with staff and residents. Shifts include Full Time with rotating evenings, weekends, and holidays; compensation $18.00-$19.00/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of cooking preferred
- Formal culinary training preferred
- SERV SAFE Certification preferred
- Previous experience working in commercial kitchen preferred
- Ability to interpret and execute recipe while maintaining clean and safe work area
- Strong food prep skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions required
- Ability to build rapport and professionally communicate with team members and residents
