Job Summary
Line Cook role supporting the Kitchen Manager in all kitchen operations for Ascension Coffee. Responsibilities include participating in all steps of food preparation, maintaining food safety and sanitation, upholding recipes and presentation standards, assisting with kitchen equipment cleaning and maintenance, washing dishes, and participating in special events including off-site catering. The position emphasizes fostering a positive, inclusive team culture, effective communication, adaptability to feedback, and reliability for night/weekend shifts. Requires restaurant kitchen experience, a Food Handler certificate (or willingness to obtain one), reliable transportation to travel between locations, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Restaurant kitchen experience required
- Food handler certification
- Must either have a valid Food Handler’s certificate or be willing to take the test to receive one
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between locations
- Availability for nights and weekends
- Strong organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and open to feedback
- Ability to stand for extended periods (~8 hours per shift)
