Job Summary
Line Cook in Plum Market's Prepared Foods Department is responsible for the preparation and execution of daily food production across showcase, cold bar, grab & go, and catering. Must follow standardized recipes and production guides, maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety, monitor temperatures and rotation, and collaborate with team to ensure quality and presentation. Requires passion for scratch-made, natural and organic ingredients, strong customer service, dependable and detail-oriented work style, and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen. Roles involve evenings, weekends, and holidays with physical demands including standing/walking up to 4 hours, bending/stooing, and lifting up to 50 lbs and pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs. Upholds Plum Market policies and participates in a positive kitchen culture and effective communication with team members and leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Solid understanding of culinary fundamentals and cooking techniques
- Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper product rotation
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food production setting preferred
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and production guides accurately
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend and stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
