Job Summary

Line Cook at Peacock Gap Clubhouse prepares prepped ingredients into finished dishes for service, following established recipes and safety procedures. Responsibilities include proper portioning, plating, and garnishing; using ingredients and cooking methods per recipes; ensuring FIFO and correct storage; stocking and maintaining a clean, organized station; and collaborating with Front and Back of House staff to deliver quality meals. Skills: familiarity with common cooking terms (blanch, sauté, reduce, sear), attention to detail, ability to read and execute recipes, knowledge of safety and sanitation practices, ability to weigh/measure ingredients, teamwork across kitchen roles.

Required Qualifications

  • Be familiar with all common cooking terms such as blanch, sauté, reduce and sear
  • Detail oriented with knowledge of common ingredients, cooking procedures and safety and sanitation
  • The ability to use all senses to assist in preparations and seasonings to ensure taste consistency
  • Able to measure or weigh ingredients when appropriate
  • Line cooks will need to be able to read, comprehend and consistently execute established recipes
  • Knowledge of common ingredients, cooking procedures and safety and sanitation
  • Listen to, and comprehend, kitchen supervisor instructions
  • Position requires a team player, and an ability to work well with others in Front and Back of the House positions
