Job Summary
Prepare and portion food products according to standard recipes, then cook meats, poultry, fish, and vegetables using various kitchen equipment. Complete final plate preparation including garnishing and plating while maintaining quality standards and complying with kitchen policies. Stock line stations to ensure smooth service and keep work areas clean and sanitary across all equipment. Perform other assigned duties as directed by the Head Chef or manager-on-duty. Must obtain a Food Handlers Card, work weekends, and be physically able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or higher
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to obtain Food Handlers Card within new hire training period
- Must be available to work weekends
- Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel at all times
- Ability to be a strong team player and get along well with co-workers
- Be physically able to lift, reach, bend, stoop, use hands to finger, handle, feel or cut with a knife and lift up to 40 pounds regularly
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
