Job Summary
Prepare and present food in accordance with recipes and quality standards, ensuring safe, sanitary storage, preparation, and cooking. Monitor and control kitchen maintenance and sanitation, while managing leftovers and waste. Work as a team player in a small confined space, following directions and adhering to quality standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy, and grains. Maintain an active California Food Handlers Certificate and pass a drug test and background check. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
- Open availability
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test and criminal background check
- Active California Food Handlers Certificate/Card
- Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to walk, stand, and bend at neck for 3 or more hours a day
- Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Culinary degree preferred or equivalent experience
