Job Summary
Cook menu items according to standardized recipes and portion guidelines in a fast-paced environment at the Maryland Club, University of Maryland. Prepare, season, and cook food while ensuring safety and cleanliness, and monitor inventory to communicate shortages. Assist with station setup and breakdown, collaborate with kitchen staff and runners for timely service, and mentor less experienced team members. Maintain efficiency during high-volume periods and follow all health, safety, and stadium operational procedures. Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of food preparation, food safety and kitchen operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically active tasks
- Dependable, organized, and able to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to lift/move/maneuver at least 25 pounds
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Available to work none-traditional hours (Nights, Weekends & Holidays)
