Job Summary
Line Cook position at DIG restaurants in Manhattan. RESPONSIBILITIES: Prep, mix, and cook vegetables, proteins, grains using recipes as a guide; gain exposure to stations including garde manger, grill, roast, market line, guest concierge and delivery/packout; communicate menu offerings, seasonality, and ingredients to guests; support team during peak and off-peak service; multi-task and move efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen; maintain the Department of Health and DIG food safety standards; uphold anti-discrimination policies; contribute to a larger mission to rebuild the food system. QUALIFICATIONS: passion for real, good food; strong work ethic; ability to perform physical requirements (up to 50 pounds); ability to communicate effectively; team-oriented; desire for growth in the brigade; willingness to learn culinary practices and skills.
Required Qualifications

- The ability to demonstrate and execute a strong work ethic
- The ability to perform physical requirements (frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds)
- The ability to perform other physical requirements such as seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours
